Physical Activity Pyramid.Similar to the Food
Guide Pyramid, this physical activity pyramid is designed to help people become
more active. If you are currently sedentary, begin at the bottom of the pyramid
and gradually increase the amount of moderate-intensity physical activity in
your life. If you are already moderately active, begin a formal exercise
program that includes cardiorespiratory endurance exercise, flexibility
training, and strength training to help you develop all the health-related
components of fitness.
