Calorie Costs for In-Line Skating |
To estimate the number of calories you burn, first determine your appropriate speed (use the minutes per mile column if necessary), multiply the calories per minute per pound by your weight, and then multiply that figure by the number of minutes you skate. For example: assuming you weigh 145 pounds and skate at 10 mph for 30 minutes, you would burn 273 calories: 145 X .063 (calories per pound, from table)=9.1 X 30 (minutes)=273 calories burned. Calculations are approximate. |
